Production Blog- Racing Toward Completion

 As the production progresses, the excitement is building, and everything is coming together in thrilling ways. The team has been hard at work on the script, and we’re finally shaping the protagonist's journey into something powerful. We’ve made sure that the dialogue reflects the determination and emotional rollercoaster a race car driver faces, from humble beginnings in karting to the intense buildup toward their big race. It’s a story that speaks to perseverance and believing in oneself despite overwhelming challenges, and we’re confident it will resonate with audiences.

Location scouting has been just as exciting as we find the perfect spots to tell our story. From karting tracks to professional racing circuits, every location we’re securing feels like a crucial piece in our puzzle. We’ve even got permission to shoot at a local racetrack, which will add an authentic touch to our film. The real race footage is coming together too, with a few race teams agreeing to let us use clips from their actual events. This level of authenticity will bring our story to life in a way that words can’t.

Behind the camera, we’re already preparing for action. The shot list has been finalized, and we’re planning dynamic sequences that will showcase the protagonist’s emotional and physical journey. From the training montages to the high-stakes races, we’re making sure the pacing flows seamlessly, with heart-pounding moments and quiet, introspective scenes that reveal the driver’s inner world. Practical effects and sound design will add an extra layer of excitement – the roar of the engines, the screech of tires, and the crowd’s roar will immerse the audience in the thrill of racing.

Our casting calls are also moving forward, and we’ve found some incredible talent. The lead actor we’ve selected truly embodies the spirit of a race car driver. Their performance is going to bring so much depth to the role, capturing the highs and lows of this challenging journey. We’re also casting for crew members and fans to help bring the racing world to life in the background, ensuring that the environment feels real and alive. The weather conditions are being carefully monitored as well, as we’re making sure to schedule key scenes around ideal filming conditions for the best visual quality.

As we approach the finish line in terms of filming, our focus is turning to post-production. The footage will soon be in the hands of our editor, who will work to shape the film into its final form. We’ll be adding a powerful soundtrack to emphasize the highs and lows of the story, and we’re excited to see how it all comes together. Once the film is ready, we’re planning a marketing strategy to share our journey on social media and submit the film to local festivals for exposure.  I am working with Alexander Nordyke, and Alex Dimartino. I chose them because making a music video will be easier and will look a lot better than if I did it alone. It will not only have better filming, but will have more actors for more roles. The reason I picked these two men as my film partners, was because I trust them with work and we have great team chemistry. I played baseball with Alexander Nordyke, and have known Alex Dimartino for a little over a year. This was a much better alternative not only because it will be a better music video. But mainly because Alex Nordyke has a car. This will make filming our videos much easier. And faster.

Pitch A Explanation: For this movie we would have to use various gory props and also create a suspenseful mood throughout. Pitch B Explanation: For this movie we would have a narrator commentate on the journey of love for the high school boy. Final Decision: Our group has decided to go with pitch B. We chose this pitch because we thought it would be very fun to have a narrator in our opening scene.
