Production blog continue to shoot

Filming the racing sequences has been one of the most exhilarating parts of production. We’ve carefully planned a variety of camera angles to capture the fast-paced nature of the races, aiming to immerse the audience in the excitement and intensity of each moment. One of our primary techniques is the high-angle shot, which will show the entire track from above. This wide shot will emphasize how small the protagonist appears in comparison to the vast scale of the competition, conveying the overwhelming nature of the race. The high-angle shot also adds a sense of distance and isolation, highlighting the challenges the protagonist faces as he competes against more experienced drivers. In contrast, we’re using low-angle shots to make the cars look larger and more imposing as they speed by. These shots give the cars a sense of power, making them appear almost unstoppable as they zoom around the track. The low-angle perspective heightens the excitement and makes the audience feel the intensi...

Short Film Research: Urban Thriller

Image
Continuing my journey into the urban thriller genre, I watched another set of short films that highlight different aspects of this exciting and suspense-filled genre. Here’s what I learned from these additional films: 1. Common CAMS (Camera, Angle, Movement, Shot): Camera: These films frequently use shaky handheld cameras during high-intensity scenes, such as car chases or confrontations, to create a sense of chaos and instability. Angle: The use of medium shots to show both the detective’s face and the surroundings during tense moments is common. This ensures that the audience is aware of both the emotional state of the protagonist and the external threat, adding to the feeling of impending danger. Movement: Another interesting aspect is the use of slow zoom-ins during key moments of realization or tension, especially as the detective uncovers new evidence o...

Production blog including the extras.

Image
In addition to our main cast, we’ve also been casting extras who will help populate the racing world. These extras will play important roles as fans in the stands, crew members working in the pits, and other racers on the track. It’s essential for us to make the racing world feel alive and vibrant, so we’re carefully selecting extras who can bring energy and authenticity to the scenes. The extras will play a key role in creating the atmosphere of a major race, adding to the excitement in the stands and the tension behind the scenes in the garage. We want the audience to feel like they’re witnessing a real event, and the presence of the extras will help make that happen. Whether they’re cheering for the protagonist or hustling to prepare the cars in the pit crew, their actions will provide a sense of depth to the environment. To make sure everyone is on the same page, we’ve been rehearsing with the extras to ensure that they understand the world we’re creating and how their actions...
